Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLICATION]
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SIH Platform, operated by [ORGANIZATION LEGAL NAME] ("SIH," "we," "us"), registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] and governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use the Platform
The Platform has two kinds of accounts: builders, who apply for membership and, once accepted, contribute to projects, and clients, whose organizations are set up by our team after a project inquiry and who receive an invitation to create their own login. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
2. How the Platform works
Builders apply for membership and are reviewed through a structured process. Accepted members may be assigned to project contributions, which are tracked, reviewed, and — where a project reaches a disputed or consequential outcome — subject to a due-process review with a stated reason and a response window before any adverse consequence takes effect. Clients approach the Platform by submitting a project inquiry; our team reviews it and, where appropriate, sets up a client relationship and an invitation to create a login. All engagement terms (scope, pricing, deliverables) for a specific project are agreed separately between the client and SIH and are not governed by these general Terms alone.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Provide false information in an application, profile, inquiry, or any other submission.
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Platform's review, due-process, or security mechanisms.
- Access or attempt to access another user's account, private data, or earnings information.
- Use the Platform to submit malicious files, attempt injection attacks, or probe for vulnerabilities without our prior written authorization.
- Misrepresent your role, contribution, or work-share on any project.
- Use automated means to scrape, spam, or abuse the public inquiry endpoint or any other part of the Platform.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Violations may result in a formal review under the Platform's due-process rules, up to and including suspension or termination of your account.
4. Reputation and reviews
Any reputation signal, ruling, or review recorded about your contributions reflects a real, reviewed judgment, always with a stated reason and — where you are the subject of a consequential ruling — a response window to represent yourself before it takes effect. The Platform never computes or displays a composite score, numeric ranking, or leaderboard from these signals.
5. Payments and earnings
Financial records on the Platform (ledger entries, payout records) document that a payment happened or was authorized — the Platform itself does not hold your funds as a wallet or execute transfers. Payment terms for a specific engagement are set out in that engagement's own agreement. Your earnings figures are private to you by default and are never shown on any view visible to another user.
6. Intellectual property
Ownership of work product delivered on a specific client engagement is governed by that engagement's own agreement. Absent a specific agreement stating otherwise, deliverables created for a client project belong to that client upon completion and acceptance. The Platform itself (software, design, and content that is not project-specific deliverable work) remains the property of [ORGANIZATION LEGAL NAME].
7. Termination
You may stop using the Platform and request account erasure at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how erasure works). We may suspend or terminate an account for a violation of these Terms, following the same due-process review that applies to any other consequential decision on the Platform, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm or address an active security concern.
8. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." While we operate a structured review and due-process system, we do not guarantee that any specific project, application, or dispute outcome will be resolved in a particular way or within a particular timeframe. We make no warranty that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure from all possible threats, though we take reasonable, documented steps toward security (see our Privacy Policy, Section 8).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [ORGANIZATION LEGAL NAME] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and communicate material changes to you through the Platform.
