This notice describes exactly what the SIH Platform stores on your device — it is short because the Platform is deliberately built to need very little.

We do not set cookies

The SIH Platform does not set any cookies — not for authentication, not for analytics, and not for advertising. There is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

How you stay signed in

When you log in, your session tokens are held only in your browser's memory for that page — never in a cookie and never in persistent browser storage. Reloading the page or closing the tab clears them, and you will need to log in again. This is a deliberate security choice, not an oversight.

The one thing we do store locally

The Platform remembers your light/dark/system theme preference using your browser's local storage, on your device only. This value is never transmitted to our servers and contains no personal information — it is purely a display preference. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.

Third-party content

The Platform does not embed third-party trackers, analytics scripts, or advertising content that would set their own cookies. If this ever changes, we will update this notice and, where required by law, ask for your consent before any such content loads.
